Mutual of Omaha has gone to lower rates as of 2-23-2018.
I want to call to your attention to the differences in rates between Mutual of Omaha Plan F and G. Since the Part B annual deductible has been increased to $183 you can save a considerable amount of money by going to G rather than F.
On the rates below you will find the preferred rates for new applications.
I want to call your attention to the High Deductible Plan F offered by BlueCross and BlueShield. It is the same Plan F that we all know but it has a $2,240 deductible. After that it pays all deductibles and co-pays that Medicare does not. This plan has a very stable rate structure so if you believe that you are a very healthy person or one that just cannot afford another plan then you should consider the High Deductible Plan F.
Plan N with BlueCross and BlueShield is a plan to consider if you want to save some money and do not wish to or cannot answer the health questions to qualify for a Mutual of Omaha.
The biggest item that must be considered is that you will have to pay your own Medicare B deductible and a co-pay not to exceed $20.00 for every Dr. visit there after. You will also need to pay a $50.00 for every emergency room visit.
Yes, I can write BlueCross and BlueShield Medicare Supplements on applicants up to age 100+.
These rates are effective 4-1-2018.
Comparison of Plans and Costs for Those that Live Outside of the Chicago Area
Please note that BlueCross and BlueShield of IL has changed their pricing method. Instead of going in bands or brackets we now have year to year rates so that when someone goes from age 70 to 71 they will have a slight age rate increase. In many cases the rate stayed the same or just went up slightly.
